Pros and cons of Modizer app for iPhone and iPad
Modizer app good for
Simply the best module player in the appstore. Dont hesitate a second.
For an oldschool chiptune fan this is dream come true. Well-built, full featured and very good value. Simply click through the massive online archives, which are nicely organized into a Table-based browser module. Local storage of favorite tunes, original "tracker style" visualization options and an incredible number of formats supported. (tested on iPhone4, the performance is sufficient on that). Its a lovely app that only needs some improvement for the notoriously difficult SID playback.
...on any mobile device. Regardless where you are coming from. This little thing covers every bleep and blop you remember from the past (and future...). Thanks!
I can only recommend this, it does exactly what it should. Online access to hvsc saves me a lot of time. Emulation quality is fine, more than enough for mobile listening purposes.
I was looking for an app like this, a must have for any chip tune lover. (was looking for something to replace the milky tracker as my primary player)
Awesome job!
Needs to play n64 songs still, otherwise probably the best and only chiptune player available for iPhone.
Some bad moments
The control are completely messed up on the iPad 4, sadly theres seems to be no further developement on this since last 1.7 version.... Too pad cause the app was really cool!
I use this app daily & love it.
Plays game music great.
N64 sound support would be nice.
Also it is a bit of a battery sucker but its not terrible.
When you play zips and rars it doesnt show you a playlist of songs inside.
Otherwise great app
!!!!update!!!!
The app now doesnt start... Just shows the start up screen for about 20 seconds and goes back to my home screen. Going back into app does the same. Only solution so far is delete n reinstall but each time i have to reload my library :( im using ipod touch 3g with ios 4.3.2.
Plz fix!
The soundfont could be better (or maybe add the ability to use multiple soundfonts), lags a bit if the file is really complex, but otherwise the best midi player app I have used! Easy to upload files, and the visualizer is AWESOME!
Fantastic app - I got it when it was free. I totally would have paid big bucks cause its sooooooo awesomely good. Some of the playback engines arent totally spot on, but thats not really Modizers fault. Besides - what do you expect from an app that tries to emulate all of those formats! Being able to FTP files in is so useful... I wish other apps used it. I have every Genesis, every NES soundtrack on here + a slew of great demoscene stuff. So Good... So Good.
UPDATE: after update app wont load - when it does - it crashes after awhile and deletes my library. please fix!
Awesome app with a ridiculous amount of features. Played every file I hoped it would flawlessly - even in the background. The online repositories are also amazing.
If you have any interest in the demo or tracking scene then this app is a must-have.
First off, it would really help to support opening files from apps like dropbox (identify support for files like RSN).
Second, some of the GUI is a bit wonky, and the cover flow UI has absolutely no menu navigation to leave it, without rotating.
None of this keeps this player from working, and it sounds great. Considering the complete lack of alternatives, you cant go wrong, and the price is right.
Usually Modizer iOS app used & searched for
nsf,
vgz,
yoyofr,
and other. So, download free Modizer .ipa to run this nice iOS application on iPhone and iPad.
