Modizer App Reviews

Decent

Like the older version better. More polished look. Dont care too much for album art and the pixelated background scheme.

Good and bad

Could be perfect. But its not yet. For psf archives it cannot add single in archive tracks to a playlist. It cannot associate the correct player with the file. It can only associate the correct player with the entire archive. I want to add selected songs to the playlist but it is impossible. With a patch fix this would be perfect.

Very versatile player

It plays pretty much anything I throw at it and works well in the background on iOS6. Awesome! That said, FTP server is a bit dated but worked fine for me. Minor quibble, but would be nice if the UI were updated for the iPhone 5s screen. Also, props to the developer for open-sourcing the code on github - thats a nice touch.

Awesome player

Awesome player! Supports all the formats I could want, even the obscure Amiga ones like DW. Please add iPhone 5 support!

Interface is ridiculous.

I like the app, it works as advertised, but navigating the user interface is like getting lost in a maze. When an IT guy like myself cant figure out how to play a track Ive just downloaded within 30 seconds, you need to take a look at your design. Hopefully there will be improvements here!

Awesome

I only knew Jogeir Liljedahls albums, but this app was still awesome. If you have any interest in chip tune, get this. And get Jogeirs work as well.

Exactly what I wanted

This software works as expected. It will play any file type I throw at it. I like the visualizations.

A Rough Diamond

The interface is sort of bad, but everything else is amazing. It can play all the music youd want it to, and it plays well. It even helps you find the music you want. Worth the price ten times over. A must have for any retro music fan.

Best midi player

I tried a lot of midi players and they all had problems (wouldnt play the whole midi, or couldnt download from a website, or just no sound) but this one works great and is super easy to use. Love it!!

Good at what it plays

Just wish it could do some other common formats like USF and 2SF.

Can Play NSFs w/ Extensions!

Wow! It even has support for VRC6, VRC7, and the like! Not to mention mod, and all those other tracker files and also midi and wow. So much more too! A must have for people interested in this field of music.

Almost Perfect!

This is a program with a more impressive format list than MODPlug, but the interface could use significant work. My most desired feature request would be a button that can delete a song from the Now Playing screen. Also, the ability to mark multiple files for deletion from the file browser. Years after purchasing this program, I stopped by its page in iTunes and was surprised to see the price. This is easily worth much more. Buy it!

Excellent

Supports a ton of formats, works quickly, sounds great. The UI is a *little* tricky to get the hang of but who cares... it works great and is a must-have for retro gaming music lovers, from console to Commodore. Its awesome to have Huelsbeck and Hubbard on my iPad :D

Woah! Full-featured MOD player and finder for iOS!

So happy to have found this! Brings back oooold memories :)

Best music player since Impulse Tracker

I cant get enough of this. Unreal II, Drift, Space Debris, 2nd Reality, Stories Never End -- what a great app.

Amazing mod file player

Ive used this for a while, has amazing visuals, and lots of tracker files you can play. Chiptune music lovers should most definitely buy this app!

Crashes

It crashes every time I try to play a PlayStation sound formats. thats too compressed either and 7zip the Standard zip.

Awesome app

GSM still doesnt loop. Thats one reason why I cant give it that fifth star.

New version crashes

After running this new version, I regret updating to it. My PlayStation music file no longer work, and instead crash the application. I wish I could revert to the old version.

Crashes with Archives and PSF format

Still my go to app for VGM music but since a lot of the tracks I listen to are mostly PSF/PSF2 the app is partially broken but I love that its finally been adapted to the screen resolution off e iPhone 6+
